Buzz Puffer Coat Tour

Hi! I am so excited to be on the Outwear blog tour for Call Ajaire! I love DbCA patterns and have been a fan -I want to say- from the start. She features really well drafted patterns with instructions that teach you new techniques as you go. Recently DbCA has added the elusive sizes 9 & 11 (can I get an Hallelujah!!). Why has American sizing not caught on to the fact that kids need these sizes, too??

Today, I am featuring the Buzz Puffer Coat. I made this coat in the spring (during quarantine) where I was limited to online shopping. I chose a beautiful denim twill from Raspberry Creek Fabrics and a Rifle Paper Co. lining I believe from Threads and Stitches. I did a lot of online fabric shopping during quarantine because my budget temporarily did not include gymnastics. I would love to make this coat again in a more winter appropriate fabric, so if y'all see some good ones, let me know! The twill and cotton make a great spring jacket, which in MA we could need even in June.

This coat is a really beautiful design. It has princess seams, pockets, a zipper, a 3 piece hood, and lots more!

The instructions take you through everything very thoroughly. Have you ever bagged a coat? Well, now is the time to learn- and don't worry, its not as intimidating as it sounds.

Garnet has a specific rock she will stand on and give me half decent pictures. Until she gets creative with her poses and wants to try "frog pose" (see below).

Both coat patterns in the Call Ajaire shop are 50% off right now. This is a rare deal- so hurry and grab them while you can!
