Raspberry Creek Fabrics and Project Run and Play have teamed up to showcase some back to school looks. I was lucky enough to receive fabric from RCF in order to create these looks.
I cannot believe we are already talking about B2S wardrobes, but here we are! My older two kids wear uniforms everyday, so for this blog, I decided to make my 4 year old something for preschool. This kid has gotten very specific in her clothing requests and is getting harder to please. After each of these garments came off my machine, she was very excited. She really loved the colors and prints and even called me "the best ever!"
The Up Beet Tee is such a fun tee/dress pattern. The square shoulders and curved back are fun, unexpected details on a tee shirt. I loved this splatter print right away and paired it with solid pink peach from my stash. The splatter print could coordinate with so many colors; I love the versatility of it. A couple of the reasons I love using RCF are that they use an eco-friendly printing process and print their fabrics in the US.
G started to learn her letters and their sounds this past year at school so I knew she would be excited for an alphabet hoodie, and one with bunny ears was the sugar on top. Chromium Cropped Hoodie is a favorite of mine. This pattern is packed with options. I chose regular length, long sleeves, pieced hoodie with bunny ears. I had requested the adult panel for the alphabet in french terry. When it arrived, I momentarily panicked, thinking it may be too big for her sweatshirt. I don't know about you, but I love how big and bold it is. RCF french terry is super soft and makes a great lightweight sweatshirt. Believe it or not, we have needed pieces like this in New England recently.
If you know G, you know she is convinced that she is a chipmunk, and when she grows up, she still wants to be a chipmunk. She was a trooper though and happily played the part of bunny rabbit and hopped off with her apple.
